Workshop for Ward Incharges.
This is a two-day workshop organized by Director of Nursing and Midwifery for all ward in-charges in KATH.
Date- Wednesday 9th November 2022 and Thursday 10th November 2022.
Venue- Disaster Hall
Time- 8:00 — 4:00 pm each day
1st day was attended by 81 in-charges. 2nd day was attended by 56 in-charges. In all, 137 ward in-charges attended from various directorates and units.
Topics discussed on Wednesday were: Ward Management, Transformational Leadership, and Benefit of Good Customer Care for Effective Nursing and Midwifery Care to Parents and Clients.
Day 2 was a workshop for Preceptors, held on 10th of November for 94 preceptors. This is done yearly to update the knowledge and skills in precepting students that come to KATH for clinicals. Topics discussed included Roles and Responsibilities of preceptorship and practical procedures such as simple occupied bed, explanation of procedures to a patient, pre-operative preparation before surgery, post-operative care after surgery, and preparation before general ward rounds.
