We are pleased to announce that our Acting Quality Manager of Laboratory Services Directorate, @kwame odame, has secured another reciprocal exchange award in collaboration with USA-based professional Melissa Gregory . Building on the success of the first award in May 2024, which implemented quality management systems per ISO 15189 standards, the directorate has achieved a significant milestone. Following a Ghana Health Service audit in May 2025, we have upgraded from a ‘zero-star rating’ to a ‘two-star rating’. This achievement highlights the positive impact of the exchange program on our quality management systems.
The latest award aims to address remaining gaps, which would ultimately pave way for ISO accreditation. We congratulate the team on their outstanding work and extend special gratitude to the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders and the U.S. Department of State for this sponsorship.
