KATH Wins 3 Rpocurement Awards
The Supply Chain Management Unit of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital(KATH) won three(3) awards at the 4th Africa Procurement and Supply Chain Awards held on Saturday, 25th June, 2022.
The awards were received on behalf of the hospital by Dr. Oheneba Owusu-Danso, the Chief Executive, accompanied by Ms. Georgina Afua Sam, Director of Nursing Services, Mr. Emmanuel Owusu-Bempah, Deputy Director of Supply Chain Management Unit and other staff of KATH.
The awards received were: Excellence in Procurement & Supply Chain: Healthcare; Public Sector Procurement Team of the Year: Bronze; and Public Sector Procurement Professional of the Year (Emmanuel Owusu-Bempah, DD-SCM, KATH).
The hospital has been a consistent winner at awards due to its best practices in procurement. In 2021 the hospital won Excellence in Procurement & Supply Chain: Healthcare (Gold), Excellence in Procurement & Supply Chain Compliance (Silver), and the hospital’s CEO was also adjudged the Procurement Transformational CEO of the year.
